The General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRC) is organising a two-day conference & parallel exhibition on: “Protection and Promotion of Greek Cultural Heritage”. The event will take place on 2 and 3 April 2024, at the “L. Zervas Amphitheatre” of the National Hellenic Research Foundation, Vas. Con/no 48, Athens, Athens. Research and Technological institutions supervised by the General Secretariat of Culture will present state-of-the-art, innovative and easy-to-use applications from research projects, which can be used directly for the Protection of our Cultural Heritage, as well as for its Promotion and Promotion. The event will be accompanied by a small exhibition in the outdoor area of the amphitheatre with the ultimate aim of informing and raising awareness among the participants on issues of disasters that have affected the cultural heritage of humanity, from ancient times to the present day.

It will be possible to participate in a specially organised tour of the National Gallery, in particular the Open Viewing Laboratory for the study and conservation of large-scale paintings, upon registration.
